LISA LENNON – BA (hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy, MIACP, HDip Soc Pol

I graduated with a BA honours degree in counselling and psychotherapy and am a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.) In addition, I hold a Higher Diploma in Social Policy.

Since finishing college I have trained in the areas of unplanned pregnancy, ASIST suicide prevention, Child protection and areas relating to child sexual abuse.

My theoretical approach to psychotherapy is humanistic and integrative, this means that I work within different therapeutic models such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, mindfulness and person centred. The approach taken is tailored to each individual client’s needs and goals for therapy.

Outside of my work at Orwellness, I provide services to the CARI foundation, where I help and support parents who are attending the centre. I have five years experience working in the counselling departments of a number of Dublin third level colleges. Here I have gained extensive knowledge of working with young people, providing short term solution focused therapy.

I provide my clients with an empathetic, non judgemental and safe place to discuss the concerns that have led them to therapy. I aim to support and guide each person to reach the goals they set out at the start of their therapeutic process.

Some of the issues which I can help with:
Feeling low
Anxiety
Stress
Relationship problems
Exam stress
Grief
Low self esteem

Please call me on 087-9741979 with any questions regarding therapy or to arrange an appointment.
