Kathy Bradshaw M.I.A.H.I.P

Kathy is an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists. She qualified from Maynooth University with a Certificate in Counselling Skills. She then went to on achieve a Certificate in Addiction Studies with Maynooth College. Kathy then embarked upon a four year training course to become a Humanistic, Integrative and Transpersonal psychotherapist . Since graduating Kathy spent two years training in Family Systems. She attends workshops on a regular basis and is very enthusiastic as she feels there is always something new to learn.

Kathy works from a Humanistic and Integrative stance. Although she employs different modes of therapy, the foundation of her work is person centered. In layman’s terms ‘person centered’ is about acknowledging that the client is capable of self awareness and growth when the correct environment and conditions are provided.

Kathy provides her clients with a safe, non-judgemental space to heal past hurts that still may be causing pain and behaviours in the present. Behaviours and beliefs which can hold the client back from living a full and content life. It can often be as simple as shining a light on behaviours and ways of being which no longer serve the client but are very deeply ingrained.

Kathy believes that therapy is a gift to oneself. It enables a person to explore their issues in the here and now whether the issue is current or tethered to the past. It gives the client a safe space to reconnect with their ‘true self’ and to step out of the role that their family or society have often imprisoned them in.

Since graduating seven years ago Kathy has worked privately on a one to one basis.
