I graduated from PCI College in Dublin with a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a fully accredited member of the IACP and I adhere to their standards and Code of Ethics. I have also completed a Certificate Course with the CMED Institute in America on Archetypal Symbols.

I have seen that helping clients to identify patterns of recurrent behaviour can bring about powerful benefits in their lives. I have experience working with people who present with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, grief and difficulties surrounding self-esteem and self confidence. My therapeutic approach involves combining a range of therapeutic technique including Person Centred, Integrative, Psychodynamics, Humanistic and Brief Therapy. I find that by combining these approaches, therapy can be tailored to the individual needs of each client more effectively. In particular, I have found that identifying and exploring Archetypes and Archetypal patterns (e.g. ‘the Hero’, ‘the Child’, the Damsel’) and their positive and negative influences, provides a frame-work to successfully explore challenges people have in their lives. This approach helps to keep the therapy in present time, whilst becoming conscious of particular patterns, enabling clients to consciously break free from a pattern of unhealthy destructive behaviour. Archetypal symbols are unequalled in the insight they give into the psyche, and when brought fully into consciousness become allies in helping us to make more empowering personal choices. Many people make choices from the unconscious – therefore acting out of insecurity and defensiveness.
