Psychotherapy & Counselling
Aveen holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, Dublin. She is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and is committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
Her approach is integrative and client-centred, drawing primarily on humanistic counselling models and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Aveen recognises each client as the expert in their own life and tailors her therapeutic approach to their individual needs, experiences and circumstances.
Aveen offers a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their concerns and feel heard and understood. She places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of her work, using reflective listening to understand each person’s experiences and challenges.
Through gentle encouragement and collaboration, Aveen supports clients in recognising their inner strengths, exploring new perspectives and setting meaningful goals. Working within a pluralistic framework, she embraces diversity and inclusion, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, confidence and a sense of empowerment as they work towards positive change.
Her areas of interest and experience include anxiety and stress, bereavement and loss, carer burnout, childhood emotional neglect, family dynamics, life transitions, lone parenting, low self-esteem, panic attacks and marital issues.
