Psychotherapy & Counselling
Monica O’Loughlin’s path to psychotherapy began in nursing, where years of working in healthcare gave her a strong understanding of the relationship between physical health and mental wellbeing. As her passion for mental health grew, she completed a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2026. She is currently undertaking a Level 9 Master’s in Integrative Therapy.
Her clinical and professional experience has given Monica valuable insight into the emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany life transitions. She supports clients navigating traumatic experiences, chronic anxiety and postnatal depression, as well as autistic clients seeking understanding and support. Central to her work is taking the time to understand each person’s experience from their perspective.
Monica is a pre-accredited member of APCP and practises in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Practice. She holds professional insurance through O’Brien Finlay and works under regular clinical supervision.
Her approach is compassionate, person-centred and integrative, recognising that every individual’s experiences, needs and circumstances are unique. Monica offers a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-awareness and work towards positive change and emotional wellbeing.
