Psychotherapy

Each of us encounters a variety of problems and losses throughout our lives. At times these can seem overwhelming and cause further challenges with our relationships, families, work and happiness.  At such times the process of psychotherapy can provide help.

Psychotherapy, or the process of psychotherapy, is about a safe place for you to explore and express your issues, concerns and fears, whether these are past or present.   The process can consider issues relating to previous experiences, and these issues may have a great influence on the way we view circumstances or relationships presently.     Frequently it is also about discovering and accepting who we are on the inside, as well as the outside. Psychotherapy can often assist in the journey of self-discovery, and enable us to recognise what is needed in order to grow and reach our full potential.

Psychotherapists are trained to listen and try to understand what you are feeling.   You will be offered an opportunity to look at your situation from several angles so that you can decide for yourself what you would like to try and do about it.  You will be helped to recognise and draw on your own strengths and resources.  You may even discover new qualities you didn’t know you had.  Not only is psychotherapy a place to explore difficult issues, it is also a space in which to grow and develop your full potential.
